It's been a while since I released an original MLP song, you know, with lyrics. Like 5 years long. I feel like that's in part because of the complexity involved in writing meaningful lyrics, being good at singing/having a good vocalist, and making sure the actual recording is high quality all add difficulty to the production process. Expectations for songs are high, and every song I've released has consistently performed worse than pieces with no vocals, making it intimidating to even try. Yet, to not try at all is to resign the fandom to just electronic and instrumental music, and while I also love that music, I am more inspired by the great songs this fandom has produced. Thus, I have tried and failed to bring this song to you. Yes, it has many flaws and I'd fix them if I knew how, but I hope you can still hear the beautiful thing I wanted you all to have.
